- Abstrak : The directorate general of taxation has been done strategic role as one of steps to increase the tax payer’s compliance. This research attempts to see the influence of tax knowledge, tax payer perception of fiscus and criterions of tax payer of compliance toward tax payer compliance. The procedure of data collection in this research is by distributing the questionnaires to the tax payer in tax services Department East Sidoarjo directly at 2007. There are 43 questionnaires collected. The result of validity and reliability from 44 questions shows that all questions shows is valid and reliable. The result of regression shows that data is normal distribution. The result of regression shoes that just tax knowledge variable influence significantly toward tax payer compliance.

- Abstract : Institutional reforms introduced after the collapse of the new order regime have brought state-society relations in Indonesia under increased scrutiny. This paper uses an evaluation of law 25/2009 on public services as a means to assess whether the new political setting has increased the leverage of the citizenry over the state. Adopted in July 2009, the law introduced a range of regulations for public service providers. It also expanded the responsibilities of the ombudsman’s office and called for the establishment of citizen committees to monitor public service delivery. However, the legal quality of the law is poor and the broader institutional and political environment is not conducive to its enforcement. Overall, the law aims beyond the capacity of the current political and legal system. Ironically, in order for society to gain greater leverage in politics, state capacity must increase as well.

- Abstract : Foreign direct investment (FDI) has been important in the growth and global integration of developing economies. Both northeast and southeast Asia, especially the latter, have been part of this development, with increasing inflows of FDI and greater foreign participation in local economies. However, Indonesia has been an outlier within the region. Inflows of FDI have been lower to Indonesia than to other countries, especially in manufacturing, and they have been lower than could be expected from Indonesia’s size, population and other country characteristics. We show that the inflows that have occurred have benefited Indonesia, and use the east Asian experience to identify measures that are likely to increase these flows. A relatively poor business environment, inefficient government institutions, low levels of education and poor infrastructure all seem to be important explanations for the low inflows of FDI to Indonesia.

- Abstrak : Mengingat resiko kegagalan pembayaran memiliki implikasi yang sangat besar, maka tulisan ini berusaha untuk meneliti tentang pengukuran resiko kegagalan bayar pada perusahaan yang sahamnya ditransaksikan di Bursa Efek Indonesia dengan menggunakan model Merton yang telah dikembangkan. Dari pengukuran tersebut, akan didapatkan estimasi kemungkinan default perusahaan-perusahaan dalam Indeks LQ45. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan yang ada di dalam industry perbankan umumnya mempunyai probabilitas default lebih tinggi diantaranya perusahaan industry lain.

- Abstrak : Study of naphtol AS-LB reduction with soga tea technically was reported before. Napthol AS-LB could be reduced until 35 percent with aanzet-nazet pathway. Now, study of production cost of naphtol AS-LB reduction already has done. The most factor to has influence of production cost was identified only chemical needs. The salary, electrical cost etc. were not calculated because no have different. The chemical needs biside naphtol AS-LB like as sodium hydroxide was reduce until 85,5 percent, spirits 40 percent, salt 85,5 percent, water 85,5 percent, and diazonium salt arise until 28 percent. The production cost could be reduce until Rp. 1.741/kg of fabric in small scale or Rp. 435.250.000/ year in national scale.

- Abstrak : Human rights is an elusive concept that is often be disputed in the practice of Indonesia’s human rights diplomacy and although it is widely accepted but few have a genuine believe in Indonesia’s political will to promote human rights. Mainly this is due to the political ambiguity behind the motives of human rights promotion in Indonesia as continuous violations of human rights standard remain evident in its domestic context. Previously, the promotion and the development of human rights in Indonesia was like a burning coal. When the wind blew right to its direction, it died off.
